Glancing into the future of serverless web app deployment
The support we have received thus far is overwhelming. Our experience so far through feedback and advice has allowed the continued development and evolution of our vision for ArGo. To achieve this vision, we are setting out on a journey to a decentralized, secure, and permanent deployment platform. To help us achieve our objectives, we have planed the following roadmap to take place throughout this year.
ArGo plans to release its testnet in Q1 of 2021. It is essential for the planned upgrades. The testnet will reveal the readiness of ArGo in terms of product and service delivery to the community. Other informative analytics are set to come from the release of the testnet, which will help further develop the platform.
The backbone of our tokenomics is our $ARGO token. Its circulation keeps the platform fluid by encouraging participation in the ecosystem and planned this year, there are a series of implementations that are targeted at creating the necessary environment for token circulation.
In Q1, the ArGo Payment Integration will take place. Integration is the first step towards achieving efficient circulation. It lays grounds for the integration of provider and user staking. The integrations will be tested to ensure that the community receives a platform ready to disrupt the serverless deployment industry.
This is the first phase of our roadmap. It takes care of the most essential services that we intend to provide. Q1 features updates and upgrades to our system that will set the stage for the second phase of our growth journey.
Users of ArGo are set to have a better experience on the platform. In Q1, there is a planned revamp of the ArGo UI. The aim is to make the interface pleasing to the eye, easy to navigate, responsive, and, in general, simple to use.
Part of the user experience of ArGo is in its governance system. ArGo plans to stay true to the ethos of decentralization by implementing a user-governed platform. It plans to make this possible through the initiation of DAO in Q1.
Performance of the platform
The success of ArGo will be based on the performance it delivers. Supporters of ArGo are to expect an ArGo V2 API released during Q1. The release will go a long way in optimizing the performance of ArGo. It also sets up the release of other upgrades as some depend on the activity of the platform’s API. Releases such as Plugin Initiative and the planned support for more DSN’s may depend on the API.
Q2 marks the introduction of ArGo Storage Aggregator API and UI. The focus on storage is essential as it creates the foundation for other releases slated in the third phase of our journey.
Q3 focuses on the development aspect of ArGo. Support and integration for more Jamstack and Decentralized domains are to occur during the period. Through the development, users and developers gain diversity in web apps they can deploy through ArGo. Other notable integrations are Gitlab, Bitbucket, and Radicle. ArGo CLI development also takes place during Q3.
These releases will go a long way into perfecting the ArGo platform.
Q4 — Tying it all together
Q4 helps to tie together all the developments that are set to take place between Q1 and Q3. Decentralized CDN support and Server aggregation take place in the last phase of this journey. These implementations will allow ArGo to provide its services globally.
ArGo also plans to conduct system stabilization and Node Analytics during Q4. The aim is to reveal the status of the ArGo platform, having undergone all the changes planned in the roadmap.
Our roadmap covers the steps we are taking to achieve a fully functional serverless deployment platform. The critical areas of focus are on:
- Platform performance
- Releasing the testnet
- Optimizing user experience
- Token functionality
Each developmental step features new integrations into the ArGo platform that lay the foundation for future software upgrades. The last stage of the roadmap is testing the performance of the enhanced platform.
What ArGo does
ArGo makes front-end web deployment easy, effective, and efficient through its blockchain-based platform that takes your web app to the DNS (Decentralized Storage Networks). ArGo removes the hurdles of centralization and censorship through blockchain, ensuring that your web app is permanently deployed and experiences 100% uptime throughout its life.
