Spheron (previously ArgoApp) RECAP

Live Video AMA held on ArGoApp’s Telegram community

Spheron Network

One of Spheron’s (previously ArgoApp) primary focus areas is spreading awareness about blockchain and decentralization. This helps the new blockchain enthusiasts gain knowledge & allows us to introduce them to Spheron’s (previously ArgoApp) decentralized world of transparency, reliability, and security. Hence, the AMA was conducted using the video message feature on Telegram within the Spheron (previously ArgoApp) community wherein our CEO connected with the community & updated everyone regarding Spheron (previously Spheron) & its progress so far.

This engagement activity is done every fortnight where all community members ask their questions related to Spheron (previously ArgoApp) & its future plans. In this blog post, we recap the highlights of the Video AMA session held last week & feature the best questions answered by our CEO, Prashant Maurya.

#ArGoApp #Spheron

Prashant Maurya

Hi Everyone! I hope you all are doing amazing. And this entire community call, which we are going to start now is going to be a two-way community call instead of one way. So ideally, you ask a question by typing here & I answer the question via video. And if you have any questions, you can also just push the video button and record the video and send it over here. And the second thing, we are going to pick one winner today who is going to be featured in our weekly newsletter. He/She will also be eligible to claim 100 $ARGO tokens as well. So keep the momentum up & get ready to learn about our product development and where exactly we are on the partnerships front.

Prashant Maurya

So this call will be broken down into two segments. In the first segment, I will try to talk about where exactly we are in the development phase of the V2. And in the second part, we’ll talk about who is already in the pipeline for our partnerships.

Okay, so just stay connected & keep watching. And then if you
have any questions, feel free to drop your video question here, and I’ll be more than happy to answer them.

Prashant Maurya

So the first segment is about Spheron (previously ArgoApp) V2. V 2 is ready and it's on standby mode. So once we start seeing the market going in the positive direction, we will announce. Because of the current correction, the entire space in crypto is focused on what is going on in the market. And we also keep tracking it. And since our entire product & the token is also related to the market, we do not
want to go and launch anything randomly without any attention, right?

So as a community, we all and as a member of the community, I also have the responsibility to make sure we go in the market when everyone has a positive mindset. So that is the reason we are keeping everything on standby mode. Our team is actively refining the entire version & testing it to make it even better in the interim.

Prashant Maurya

So our architecture is going to be a little different than what it was before where we were trying to integrate a few things together. But now in V2, what we did is, we have decoupled each and everything so that once we open our platform or you can say for a worker node where anyone can come from different communities and take their token and start running the worker node. So that process has already been started. So going down the line,
we are making sure we are designing the entire architecture in such a way like it can be easily given back to the community and they can also run the same.

Coming to the second part, the proxy Resolver part where you attach your custom DNS. So we are currently working on that to make that custom DNS part on the user front as well as from the Spheron (previously ArgoApp) front as well so that even if the user wants to handle that, they can also do the same. And if they want to test Spheron (previously ArgoApp).

Prashant Maurya

If they want to use Spheron (previously ArgoApp)for handling the reverse proxy, we can also do the same. So that is the second change that we are doing, and we will be allowing our community members to host their proxy server if they want to and if they need some additional speed. So even in the prior case, our Lighthouse performance score was less than 40. But now after this upgrade, when we have tested, it is 60 plus, and our team is going to improve the performance even further. But the only thing here is since we are blockchain-based and there are certain constraints with the blockchain right, we have to leave with certain latency at the moment. But we are currently working on fixing that as well and we’ll make sure it happens.

Prashant Maurya

Now coming on the integration front, basically, like on the go to how exactly it is going to enable us. So V2 is going to enable us to integrate any of the chains, integrate any of the protocols, like storage protocols. Like recently, we started integrating Skynet and our POC, MVP, etc. has already been tested. You might see the partnership announcement soon.

And then one of our team members already working on a new partnership that will provide new functionality, like object-based storage and that is what our team is kind of looking into right now. We are integrating that solution as well with us so that users of Spheron (previously ArgoApp) get multiple options to store their data, and since we do not want to become a single chain platform, our system is meant to be connecting these protocols and making sure people from any of these chains can use our platform. Like, for example, we have already partnered with Polygon, so if you are a Matic user, you can easily deploy using Spheron (previously ArgoApp).

We are already on Ethereum, in active talks with Near, and soon we’ll be talking with a couple of more protocols to bring their community to our platform & test Spheron (previously ArgoApp). So that is the next phase which we’ll be getting into and that is when you will start seeing more community members coming from these places to our Discord or Telegram channels. They will join us to
deploy their applications or to store their data using Spheron (previously ArgoApp) itself. And we are also going to run some campaigns to welcome them when it happens.

Prashant Maurya

So stay connected with us through our social media channels. If you haven’t joined our Discord, go and join our Discord channel because most of the
development-related news & announcements happen there. Make sure you join there so that you can participate in our upcoming bounty program or any of the other programs which will help in increasing our user adoption.

Prashant Maurya

So now jumping onto the second part of the session where we will talk about our partnerships. So our first partnership, which is going to be announced is with Handshake or you can say Namebase. The second partnership which we are working on is a high-level partnership with Skynet. The third which we are working on is with Near. And the fourth, which we are trying to work on is to onboard a few platforms that are in the DeFi space. So recently we talked with Cryption, and they have promised to jump into Spheron (previously ArgoApp) based deployment model. We are also in talks with a couple of more people in this space, so stay tuned to know about the progress in this regard.

Prashant Maurya

The most important part here is our team is continuously working and we want our community to get involving now. We will be opening our Discord channel every week. Our Dev team will be active on the Discord channel. You can join the call & ask your questions related to deployment. We will also open the GitHub issue program soon where you can also raise the issues on
GitHub.

The third thing is that we have already launched a bounty program. Make sure you register there. If you are a developer, please help us find bugs & make our platform more efficient. If you participate, you can win up to $500 for highlighting critical issues through this campaign. So make sure you stay connected with us through all our channels.

Prashant Maurya

So this is all from our side, what we are working on, where exactly we are, what partnerships are coming up, and also where exactly we are heading
towards in terms of user acquisition and building a decentralized ecosystem. If you guys have any questions, just drop a message to me directly or to any of the team members on any of our social media handles.

Now coming to the part where you can ask me any questions. Let’s do it. So make sure you ask your questions through the video option if you feel comfortable, and also if we select any of the members from the community during the week, we’ll make sure they get featured on our weekly newsletter.

Amith Kumar (Community Member)

Spheron (previously ArgoApp) was down a few days back during the maintenance process. Server downtime also impacts heavily on the productivity of a company. So why will companies select Spheron (previously ArgoApp) if your server is itself down and have a long maintenance process? Will it affect your Web App?

Prashant Maurya

So first thing here is that our downtime doesn’t impact our users who will be hosting on our platform. But I would appreciate it if you ask the same question via video chat if it can be done from your side, and that will be awesome. So but anyways to answer this one, when we say decentralized, right? We host it, and then you have your certain URL where you want to use your own proxy server on your custom domain. So If we are down, it doesn’t mean that your web application will be down. It is not the case in decentralization.

Amith Kumar (Community Member)

Can you please explain how Spheron (previously ArgoApp) provides immutable data? What if my premium subscription goes over with Spheron (previously ArgoApp), how it will impact my Services?

Prashant Maurya

So Immutable data is basically when you won’t be able to change it. It is not like you have once you stop paying you lose your data with us. You will still be able to check your data. That is what is Immutability, now coming on the payment model. We have two models. The first one is like a one-time payment. The second one is like the subscription-based, One-time payment is going to be utilizing Arweave as a base layer, but it has its own cost. So a user has the flexibility. The second is cheaper and more robust in terms of latency. That is why we offer other protocols as well so that it's totally in the user’s control. Spheron (previously ArgoApp) is a facilitator and our job is to make sure that developers can get access to decentralized services with ease.

Amith Kumar (Community Member)

Through Spheron (previously ArgoApp) STATS you usually share a lot of data on Twitter. But how will Spheron (previously ArgoApp) impact these industries? How do you aim to achieve massive mass adoption?

Prashant Maurya

On the mass adoption side, the first thing we have said is to target our local community, and that is where we have started communicating with universities in India and institutes as well. I have also started to talk with a couple of more platforms to increase user adoption. We have already onboarded many partners with us and they will start using Spheron (previously ArgoApp) once we launch V2. And adoption is not something that comes in a day, it comes gradually once people start realizing we are making their development experience easy. As we get feedback from the community, we keep improving our offering & reach more users with the power of word of mouth as well.

What will happen if Google or Amazon(AWS) or Microsoft will block Spheron (previously ArgoApp) from their network? How can we/Spheron (previously ArgoApp) platform users join/connect the Internet?

Prashant Maurya

If they do so, we have an alternate route. So, for example, if you have a decentralized domain, like, Handshake or Namebase, it doesn't require Google or AWS to support as the domain is already decentralized and is served from different IPs & not through Google or AWS servers. On top of that, we can run our own server as well (proxy server)& doing that is not that big a deal.

Goodson (Community Member)

While you described working on bridging multiple chains, how would it incentivize the Spheron (previously ArgoApp) in general and users in particular?

Prashant Maurya

So when you bridge one community or these communities, what happens exactly? It allows other community members to start onboarding on top of you and then start using your services. So once they start deploying on Spheron (previously ArgoApp) , who is going to get benefited eventually? It is the people who hold the $ARGO tokens. It’s the people who are going to be participating in the staking and mining pools. And it also reduces supply from the market. Because we have to send some supply from this bridge to another bridge making sure they are also able to get it. This is where exactly everything comes into the picture.

And that is how I feel $ARGO holders will be heavily incentivized not only in
terms of holding the token, but also they can participate in the network by staking their tokens. And once more developers will start using Spheron (previously ArgoApp), the $ARGO value will keep increasing. To top it all, we have a limited supply hence $ARGO’s growth is a sure shot thing once we have more user adoption.

Steven Nguyen (Community Member)

In my opinion, the current project seems to be undervalued in terms of price. What do you think and what are the countermeasures?

Prashant Maurya

So to answer this, I never go and see the prices because that is not what
we are. We are building a product that has a utility that has all the things required to make a developer’s deployment experience better. So our platform allows anyone to come & build decentralized applications on the blockchain which are customer-centric, bringing more security & reliability to the ecosystem. We also allow anyone to buy the tokens to participate in the
governance. So currently, we are focused on building a great product that is going to benefit everyone in the long run. The projects which sustain are the projects who deliver the products and also who bring the adoption on their layer. As more adoption brings more interest and that is where the token starts justifying the trust that the community shows in us at this stage.

GoodSon (Community Member)

Thank you for a nice brief, is the current market condition dictating the value creation at the moment or an impediment of some sort.

Prashant Maurya

Yes, the market plays a very vital role whenever it comes to crypto products, and we are also among them. But from my side, if you ask me, I am less focused on what exactly the market is right now and more focused on where exactly our product is. Because Spheron (previously ArgoApp) is a product that focuses on the utility and usability around it. So if we have a solid foundation, we will have more user adoption. Higher user adoption will impact the supply thus making the prices go up and that is how the entire cycle works. It’s a process and we are prepared for it. My team is working towards it with full dedication & we are confident to make a difference.

Isabel Alisa (Community Member)

I’m a developer, and I’m interested in contributing to your project alongside earning, Do you have any Bug Bounty to check for vulnerabilities?

Prashant Maurya

Yes, Bug bounty is Live. Please participate and share your suggestions. The total budget for the Bug Bounty is $ 3,000 and then later down the line based on community involvement, we will design more campaigns & include $ARGO tokens as well for winners.

hogehoge hogehoge (Community Member)

Can you explain the new partnership with Ladarken; what they do for ARGO, how they contribute to the Spheron (previously ArgoApp) ecosystem as a partner?

Prashant Maurya

They are also a product and they want to use Spheron (previously ArgoApp) mainly for their storage. So that is where they fit in. They will be using Spheron (previously ArgoApp) as a platform to deliver their products to their users and secure their user's data. We strongly believe in bringing power back to the people & this relationship will help us achieve that through its focus on staking & leveraging.

Prashant Maurya

So it was nice talking to you all. Thank you very much for joining the session & asking good quality questions. Stay connected & keep supporting us. We appreciate your love!
